Sometimes there is a need to purge an entire folder from the MailMarshal quarantine. Only mail messages can be deleted via the Console. Folders cannot be deleted in this way.
To remove a top level quarantine or archive folder from MailMarshal, use the Configurator. To remove a folder simply select the folder in the Configurator and delete it.
Note: If a folder is used in any Rules or Reporting Groups you cannot delete it. You might see a message like the following: If you are sure you want to remove the folder, remove it from any rules that use it (see the Email Policy section of the Configurator or Management Console). In SEG 8.X and below, also remove it from any Reporting Groups (Classification Groups) (see Tools | MailMarshal Properties | Advanced System Properties | Reporting Groups).
