AD Agent: Setup on the Web Filter

To set up Active Directory Agent on the Web Filter, go to System > Authentication > Enable/Disable Authentication window in the Web Filter user interface, and specify the following criteria:

  1. In the AD Agent frame, click “On”.
  2. Click Settings to open to the AD Agent Settings pop-up window, used for entering criteria to permit the primary AD Agent to send data to the Web Filter.
  3. In the Computer Name field, enter the name of the primary AD Agent machine.
  4. Enter from seven to 20 alphanumeric characters in the Passphrase field, and enter the same characters again in the Confirm field.
  5. Click Add to include a row to the list above, showing the Computer Name in all upper-case letters, and asterisks for the Passphrase.

    NOTES: To modify any of the criteria for an existing Computer Name entry, select the Computer Name from the list, and then modify the fields below. Be sure to make entries in the Passphrase and the Confirm fields before clicking Modify. To delete a Computer Name from the list, select the Computer Name and then click Delete.

  6. After making your entries, click the “X” in the upper right corner of the pop-up window to close it.
  7. Click Apply in the Enable/Disable Authentication window to save your settings.
