Why do I get error 6001 when installing a Marshal product?

Information:

After trying to install a Marshal product you may receive an InstallShield error stating the setup has experienced an error, Error code: 6001.

Procedure:

In order to install the software follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime
  2. Find the folder called 0701
  3. Rename it to 0701_old
  4. Rerun the setup. 

Notes:

This is not a Marshal issue. It is a known issue with InstallShield.
