- Trustwave MailMarshal (SEG) 10.X uses two SQL Server connection for each Array Manager (one is used by the Configuration Service).
- MailMarshal SMTP 6.X through 8.X uses one SQL Server connection for each Array Manager.
- MailMarshal Exchange 7.X uses one SQL Server connection for each Array Manager.
- MailMarshal Exchange 5.X uses one SQL Server connection for each server that logs reporting data, and one for each instance of Reports.
- WebMarshal 6.X and 7.X uses one SQL Server connection for each Array Manager.
- Where the Marshal Reporting Console is used (supporting one or more products), it consumes one connection.

Free Editions
- SQL Express (2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012) does not have a limit on database operations or connections, but it does have a limit on database size.

Licensed Editions
