CVE-2024-3400: PAN-OS Command Injection Vulnerability in GlobalProtect Gateway. Learn More
Get access to immediate incident response assistance.
In a Supermicro SAS drive environment, the red LED light would indicate a failed hard drive. However, in Trustwave’s SATA drive environment, this is not the case (Supermicro SATA architecture does not provide for a drive failure light functionality).
As a result, end-users have erroneously replaced hard drive(s) only to find the red hard drive indicator still might be on.
IMPORTANT: Because most users will not regularly check the user interface for drive failures, it is critical that alert email addressees be set up for immediate notification of hardware exceptions.
