INFO: Folders to exclude from on-access malware scanning with McAfee for Marshal

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • McAfee for Marshal

Question:

  • What folders must be excluded from resident anti-virus scanning when McAfee for Marshal is installed?

Information:

McAfee for Marshal signatures or Engines could trigger detection as malicious by resident virus scanners.

If you perform on-access or periodic virus scanning on the server, exclude the McAfee for Marshal DATFiles and Engine folders from scanning.

For current supported (64 bit) versions, by default the folders are located as follows:

  • C:\Program Files\Trustwave\McAfee for Marshal\DATFiles
  • C:\Program Files\Trustwave\McAfee for Marshal\Engine
