PRB: Installation does not complete if WebDAV is enabled on IIS

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Trustwave MailMarshal (SEG) 10.0 and above
  • Web user interface

Symptoms:

  • Installation is cancelled if WebDAV is enabled in IIS.

Causes:

  • WebDAV is enabled in IIS

Resolution:

To correct this issue, disable WebDAV at the root level of the IIS server.

  1. Open IIS Manager.
  2. Double click the server name, (root of the tree), and then open Modules
  3. Remove the WebDAV module.
  4. If other sites hosted on the server require WebDAV, you can configure the module for each site (site name > Modules > Configure Native Modules action).

Note:

If you have confirmed that no other applications on the server require WebDAV, you can uninstall the feature in Server Manager (under Web Server > Common HTTP Features).
