ERRMSG: Sorry, you do not have permission to access the Marshal Reporting Console

This article applies to:

  • Marshal Reporting Console
  • Administrator users on systems with UAC enabled

Symptoms:

  • Logged on to the MRC server as an administrator (for example, immediately after installation)
  • Attempting to access the MRC website
  • Error message: Sorry, you do not have permission to access the Marshal Reporting Console

Causes:

  • Administrator security on the local server is affected by User Account Control

Resolution:

To access the MRC site, do one of the following:

  • On the local server, run the browser as Administrator
  • Browse from a different workstation
  • Disable UAC

Notes:

This message will also display and is expected when you attempt to access MRC as a user who has not been added to the access list. To allow a user, log on as a permitted user and edit the list. Local administrators are permitted access by default.
