Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Trustwave SEG 8.2

Question:

  • What are the Release Notes for Trustwave SEG 8.2?

Information:

Trustwave SEG version 8.2.6 (8.2.6.11305) was released on December 22, 2020.

The Release Notes included with the product are accurate as of the date of publication.

This article provides any additional information or corrections generated after that date.

See also Current Known Issues.

Windows 2019 and 2022 support

SEG 8.2 has been validated on Windows Server 2019.

SEG 8.2.6 (and future 8.2 releases if any) are supported on Windows Server 2022. Detailed validation has not been performed, but if customers encounter any issues Trustwave will work to address the issues.

SQL Server 2008 R2 unsupported

With the end of Microsoft Extended Support for SQL Server 2008 R2, this version of SQL Server is no longer supported for use with Trustwave SEG.

  • Trustwave recommends a minimum of SQL Server 2014. For an in-place upgrade from older versions of Trustwave SEG you can install SQL 2014 side by side with an older SQL version. Use the Trustwave installer for SQL 2014 found on the database downloads page. This installer enables TCP/IP connectivity as required. You will need to specify a new instance name.
  • The minimum supported version of SQL Server is SQL 2012. If installing from a Microsoft installer, remember to enable TCP/IP and ensure that the SQL Browser service is running.
