INFO: WF/WFR/R3000 Authentication and Riverbed WAN Optimizers

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • WF/WFR
  • R3000

Question:

  • We are experiencing problems with user LDAP authentication.  A Riverbed WAN optimizer is present on our network.

Information:

The Riverbed WAN optimizer is known to cause some problems with our authentication.  The optimization of authentication traffic will actually cause the packets to be unusable by the filter.  In order to bypass this problem, we can enter an exception into the WAN optimizer to bypass any traffic that is destined for the filter's virtual IP for authentication.
