INFO: Getting the "Exceeding Warning Threshold" when running a report

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • WFR 3.x, 4.x, 5.x
  • SR 3.x

Question:

  • When running a large report using my Security Reporter I often get a message that say "Exceeding Warning Threshold". Is there a way to either remove this message so that it does not come-up or just increase the threshold to something higher?

Procedure:

You can increase the threshold from the GUI. You need to log into the Reporter and then go to Administration->Default Report Settings->Detail Result Warning threshold. The current default setting is at 10,000 but you can increase this amount to something higher. But keep in mind that the larger the report the longer it would take the reporter to complete and the more resources you are using in the reporter.
