FAQ: Some web pages seem slow to load on first time

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • SWG 10.1, 10.2

Question:

  • Why do some web pages seem slow to load on first time, it takes about 10 sec?
  • capture shows that the request was completed in 8 seconds. The first 6 sec was for the first request and inner URLs took another 2 sec.
  • I´ve tried  'full bypass' policy and this does not speed issues up.
  • Disabling caching does not help
  • On second access to the same page the speed is good
  • All latest patches and SUs are installed

Reply:

This could be due to a Malware Entrapment issue.
In Administration->System settings->Scanning engines->MalwareEntrapment-> Scanning timeout -> change it from 5 to 2 , commitchanges and see if it makes any change.
