HOWTO: How can I create an exception for a case-sensitivity URL?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Web Filter (WF/WFR/R3000) 4.2.00 or above

Question:

  • How can I create an exception for a case-sensitivity URL?

Procedure:

You can use Exception URL case-sensitivity match feature.

The Exception URL screen (available for group/user profiles via the Policy tree) let you specify case-sensitive URLs to be blocked or bypassed. This feature is especially pertinent to YouTube URLs which are case-specific.

Example:

To accommodate this functionality, the Add Block URLs and Add ByPass URLs pop-up windows contain the “Match case” column with checkboxes for specifying which URLs you wish to designate as being case-specific.
