FAQ: Security Best Practice – Windows client platforms

Expand / Collapse

Trustwave advises customers currently using Windows XP or prior versions of Windows operating systems (OS) to upgrade to the latest version of Windows OS.  Additionally, customers who are using Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or prior versions are advised to upgrade their browsers to later versions.

By upgrading the above software components, customers will be better protected from modern day Internet security threats. Also, by upgrading, Web Filter (WFR) customers who also use M86 VuSafe will be able to take advantage of a hotfix that provides a new method of blocking YouTube over HTTPS.  To obtain this hotfix for the Web Filter, customers should contact Trustwave Technical Support.
