    Question:

    • Mac OS 10.6.1 and up using Firefox 6.0. receive a blank gray screen on login

    Procedure:

Issue: Mac users running OS 10.6.1 and Firefox 6.0. are not getting the M86 java applet message and therefore cannot log in. Safari (Mac) just shows a gray blank screen after login

FIX: You can change the User-Agent via the development menu option to Firefox for Mac and it will load. I should note that the development menu is not enabled by default in Safari – you need to enable it via the preferences menu.
Open Safari preferences by going to Safari → Preferences or using Command+, (that’s comma). Then click the Advanced button and select the check box labeled “Show Develop menu in menu bar.
