HOWTO: Manipulating large URL lists

Question:

  • How do I manipulate large URL Lists?

    It is possible to export SWG's URL Lists to text files, modify them offline, and import them back into the the system.

Procedure:

To Export a URL List:

  1. Go to Policies -> Condition settings -> URL Lists.


  2. Click on the URL list that you wish to export. There are two ways to export the list to a file.
     
    • Right click the URL list you wish to export, and select Export to File.


    • With the URL list selected you wish to export, click the Export to File button in the upper left side of the pane. 

To Import a URL List:

Once you have altered the URL list, you can then import it back in by using either of the following two methods.

  • Right click the URL list and select Import to List.
     

     
  • After selecting the list into which you wish to import, click the Import to List button in the upper left side of the pane.
