HOTFIX: Why is HP.com downloads failing

Question:Why is HP.com downloads failing


Procedure: Hp.com uses FTP://x.x.x.x:port to release downloads,

Try this:
Turn off local filtering in System>Control>filter>local filtering in the GUI and test, if it still fails?

Try this:
Check your firewall rules and see if your rules are blocking various ports. I simply unchecked in my cisco firewall rules
and tested that resolved the issue, adjust the rule or delete it if many downloads are needed.

I don't know why they use this method but they do. Excluding the ip's in the filter will not work if your firewall is setting the rules.
