FAQ: Is it possible to replace the SSL certificate used by the Management Console on SWG appliances?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Secure Web Gateway 9.x
  • Secure Web Gateway 10.x

Question:

  • Is it possible to replace the SSL certificate used by the Management Console on SWG appliances?

Reply:

Yes, you will need to contact Trustwave's SWG support team.

Notes:

Some organizations might use their own internal certificate for connecting to SSL consoles, such as the SWG's Management Console. It is possible to replace the built-in certificates, but root access (Super Shell) is required. Since root access is required, it is recommended that this procedure be performed by support via a Remote Desktop Control session (such as NetViewer or WebEx).
