INFO: USB key is not found during installation due to wrong BIOS settings (SWG-3100S)

  • Description
    This article decribes a possible reason why a USB key is not found during installation phase on a NG5100-S.

    (It is not subject of this article how to create such a installation USB key.)

  • Symptoms
    A properly prepared USB key is not detected in installation phase. The appliance is booting from hard disk.

  • Cause
    Wrong BIOS settings.

  • Solution

    enter BIOS by pressing [Del], select "Advanced Bios Features"
    check boot order, and boot medium (in order to change the boot order use the "+" and "-" buttons)





    When the USB key is not displayed in the list, switch USB-ports of keyboard and key.
    Save and exit the BIOS.
