FAQ: How do I image an SWG with a USB Key?

    How do I image an SWG with a USB key?

  • Answer: Follow the steps to create a bootable USB key that will re-image an IBM appliance:

    • 1. On the Trustwave support webpage https://support.trustwave.com/, go to Home > Support > Support by Product > Secure Web Gateway. 

     

    2. Download the "USB Key Creator" as well as the "USB Key Creator – Technical Brief" relevant to your SWG version. Follow the instructions for creating a USB key provided in "USB Key Creator – Technical Brief".

    After booting from the USB key, you should see following screen (depending on the version):

    3. Follow the on-screen instructions for SWG installation.

    4. After installation is complete, connect to the SWG using ssh and run the setup command to complete post-installation configuration.
