FAQ: What is my LDAP Query Base?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • R3000

Question:

  • When configuring an LDAP domain, one needed setting is the LDAP query base - what is this?

Reply:

The LDAP query base is basically the root of your LDAP structure.  In most cases, it will be roughly similar to your fully qualified domain name.  For example, if your domain was "8e6.com", then the query base would simply be "DC=8e6,DC=com".  If this does not seem to work, you can use an external tool such as the Softerra LDAP Browser to find the query base for you.
