Question:

  • I was working on the domain controller and found 8e6collector.exe running. What does this do and do I need it running?

Information:

If you are using the AD agent method for authentication then you will need to leave it running. This is one of the Active Directory Agent configuration files that collects certain functionality and performance information about the Active Directory agent. Some of the information included are the session time, work allocation and matrices value of the Agent.
