HOWTO: How Can I Use Multiple Mobile Filters?

This article applies to:

  • Mobile Filter (any)
  • Mobile Client (up to 2.1.15.1)

Question:

  • How can I set things up to use multiple mobile filters (for reasons such as setting one up as a fail-over backup)?

Procedure:

When using the mobile client configuration editor, you are able to add multiple IPs to the "mobile filter host(s)" section, one IP at a time.  When starting up, the client will simply try to use the first IP in the list, and move on to try the additional IPs if connectivity to the first IP fails.
