INFO: Adding users to my active directory and populating in 8e6 LDAP

Question:

  • When I add or remove a user from a particular group in my active directory what do I need to do so that the user shows up or is removed from the group within my LDAP?

Information:

Make sure you do the following:

    1. Click on the Group or Policy tab on the filter
    2. Click the plus ‘+’ sign by your LDAP
    3. Click on your domain name
    4. Click on “Domain Details”
    5. Click on “Alias list”
    6. Click on “Reload OU list”
    7. Click on “Save”
    8. Click on “Activate”
    9. Click on the LDAP again and the click “Refresh”

After this you can look in the LDAP >Group>Member Details and you should see whether the member is correctly removed or has been added
