FAQ: Initial lag when mobile client displays first block page

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Mobile Client (all versions)

Question:

  • Why is there an initial lag when the mobile client displays the first block page?

Reply:

The "Access Denied" page is generated by the Mobile R3000's built-in Apache web server.  When you first start your laptop computer and go to a site that's blocked, the mobile client itself displays a temporary place holder (white page) while it negotiates the initial block page with the Mobile R3000.  Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, you may not even notice this temporary place holder, and just see the block page.
