FAQ: How Can I tell if an ER Report is still running?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Enterprise Reporter (all versions)

Question:

  • I have run a report and it has been "loading data from database" for a long time - how can I tell if it is still going or if something timed out?

Reply:

You can open up another connection to the webclient in a second browser window and view the processlist.  If there are entries in the processlist that have "localhost:xxxxx" (where xxxxx is some port number), then your report is still running.  The port number here denotes that the process was initiated by an external source, i.e. your webclient request and not an internal automated processing command.
