INFO: Why do some usernames not show up in the AD Agent Sessions Tab?

Question:

Why do some usernames not show up in the AD Agent Sessions Tab?

Reply

When viewing the session tab generated by the AD Agent right after it starts up or after a team state reset, there may be users that do not show up - their computer's IP address simply shows a blank spot for the username.

The most likely cause of this is that the user logged in prior to the "Maximum event log history scan-back" period defined in the Options section of the Agent configuration.  If the user's login was outside of this window of time, then the Agent would not know of anyone ever logging into this workstation, and thus the username remains blank.  In such a case, the easiest way to remedy the situation is to have that user simply logout and log back in.
