Question:

Accessing and searching for a site within a site

Reply

Is it possible for me to access a website link(s) within another website such as myspace.com and still have myspace.com blocked.

To illustrate, as indicated in Fig.1 below can I access the 8e6 links www.8e6.com, and still block myspace.com?

Answer: One way you can access these links without allowing the domain is by allowing an extension of the domain. For example, you can try allowing the search extension of the actual domain such as searchservice.myspace.com or search.yahoo.com, or search.google.com, and then block www.yahoo.com, or www.google.com or www.myspace.com, or whatever is the actual domain.

But also remember that once a user is able to do the search and gotten results he/she can move around within other location of the page such as images, videos, shopping, and etc. And except you specify that those links should be blocked they can move around other location. So if you intend restricting the users to the search then it could be done.
