INFO: Which transfer protocol filters use to transmit the traffic logs to the enterprise reporter?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Enterprise Reporter
  • R3000

Question:

Which transfer protocol filters use to transmit the traffic logs to the enterprise reporter?

Reply

Filters use FTP transfer protocol to communicate with the reporter over port 21.

In the Enterprise Reporter ‘5.0.00’ the transfers are Secured Log transfers from the R3000 – This feature enhancement lets shadow log files be transferred from the R3000 through an HTTPS channel. The R3000 must be using software version 2.1.00 or higher in order for the ER to use this feature.
