Is there currently a way to combine IPGroup profiles so a person could be in more than one group?
This is not possible since Members are only added by single IP or Subnet range. You can give one user two profiles by creating an override account, this will ask you for a different profile after he/she logs in. In LDAP you can do a work around by giving him/her a different user name, or adding them as a member outside of the main LADP tree and then setting a priorty in LDAP to receive that profile first.
