What is the latest version of authenticat.exe and how can I check?

Current as of 2/24/2011

The old version for the authenticat.exe application is 1.10.10.6. we have the newest more stable version on the website.
look for authenticator 2.0.10 as the latest version here https://support.trustwave.com/r3000/upgrade.asp

to continue checking do the following:


There are 2 ways to check the  version of authenticat.exe:

For Windows
1. From the Windows/DOS command line, navigate to the directory where
authenticat.exe is stored and type: authenticat.exe version.

2. From the Run window, type the full path where authenticat.exe is stored
with the "version" parameter. For example, say it currently resides on the
c:\ directory, then the Run command window will contain: c:\authenticat.exe
version

On Windows 7,
c:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local
Windows XP %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\M86Authenticator\Log\m86authenticator.

For Macintosh, check the 8e6authenticator.log
The Authenticator application is installed in /Applications/M86Authenticator as m86Authenticator.

Mac Authentication Logs
Applications/Utilities/Console~/Library/Logs/8e6authenticator.log
