How can I change the Webclient username?

I would like to change the username for the webclient interface of my Enterprise Reporter where I login to run reports. How can I change the Webclient username?

Please login to the Webclient GUI using administrator credentials.

  • Once logged in, navigate to "Settings" and then click on “User Permissions”.
  • When "User Permissions" window opens up, then click on “Edit All Users” button.
  • When "User Information" dialogue box opens up, simply delete existing username and retype the username of your choice.
  • When done, click on "Save" button followed by clicking "OK" to the confirmation dialogue box.

You are done at the point, please logout and log back in to test your new username. If you have problems logging in, please contact 8e6 Technical Support. For instructions on how to change your default password for the Webclient access, please see FAQ article titled "How can I change the password for the Web Client's manager account? "

Note: If you want to change default account (manager) user name, please contact 8e6 Technical Support.

If Enterprise Reporter is running in 4.1.10 or earlier version, please follow the instructions below.

 

  • Please login to the Webclient GUI using the default username.
  • Once logged in, navigate to "Settings", click on “Admin Detail” and then type in your password and click on "Server Info" button.
  • When "Server Info" dialogue box opens up, simply remove existing username and retype the username of your choice.
Once finish, click on "Save" button followed by clicking "OK" to the confirmation dialogue box.
