INFO: Generation time for scheduled reports

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal SPE

Question:

  • How is the time calcluated when generating scheduled reports?
  • Why are scheduled reports not generated exactly on time?

Information:

MailMarshal SPE scheduled reports are generated on request of the Marshal Interface Agent (or Reporting Agent in earlier versions). The Agent could be installed on the Web Console server, the SQL server, or another server.

Report scheduling is based on the time at the Agent computer (evaluated as UTC).

Because the time of day clocks on the various servers might not be exactly synchronized, you may notice minor variation between the database timestamps and the report times.
