FAQ: Can EndPoint Security control devices in Virtual PCs and Terminal Services sessions?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Marshal EndPoint Security

Question:

  • Can EndPoint Security control devices in Virtual PCs?
  • Can EndPoint Security control devises in Terminal Services or Citrix sessions?

Reply:

  • Virtual PCs: When specifying access policies for users or groups on your network it is important to remember to set the appropriate rights for groups or users used to log on to virtual PCs. These will have to be correctly set in order to block access to physical devices on the host machine from within the virtual PC session.
  • Terminal Services/Citrix: EndPoint Security does not control physical devices on a remote server accessed through a terminal services session. In order to control the remote devices, you would install EndPoint Security client on the remote computer.
