Symptoms

  • Attempting to access the Marshal EndPoint Security Console
  • Error message: Microsoft VC++ Run Time Library Error

Causes

Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) are out of date.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, apply the Microsoft update MS03-033: Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components. For more information, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 823718: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823718.
