HOWTO: How to show additional folders in the Spam Quarantine Management console

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG) Spam Quarantine Management
  • MailMarshal ECM/MailMarshal Exchange 7.X Quarantine Management

Question:

  • How to show additional folders in Spam Quarantine Management

Procedure:

By default MailMarshal SMTP shows two folders in the Spam Quarantine Management console.

MailMarshal Exchange does not show any folders by default.

To show additional folders, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the MailMarshal Configurator (or MailMarshal (SEG) 10 Management Console) and create a new folder, or select a pre-existing folder you would like to show in the SQM (or QM) website.
  2. Edit the folder. Go to the Options tab if present.
  3. Select Enable end-user management for this folder.
  4. Select the direction (Folder is used to manage inbound messages/Messages addressed to a user or Folder is used to manage outbound messages/messages addressed from a user)
  5. Save the changes and commit configuration.
Note: Ensure that your rules place the correct messages in these folders (messages to, or messages from the local users). If the direction of a message does not match the setting, the message will not display in the management website.
