ERRMSG: 2509 - Disk space alert raised (MMReceiver warnings)

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Trustwave MailMarshal (SEG)

Symptoms:

Event ID: 2509
Type: Warning
Source: MMReceiver
Description: Disk Space Alert Raised

Causes:

This event is raised whenever the available space on the partition where MailMarshal's working directories reside drops below a configured value. On modern hardware, generally available disk space should never drop below 1GB at the very least, to preserve space for the swap partition. The system administrator should immediately free up disk space on this partition to ensure the continued stability of the system.

For versions below 6.3 the default minimum value is 100 MB. For information about later versions, see the article linked below.

For more information about this feature, see the following Trustwave Knowledgebase articles:

  • Q11699: Enhanced Low Disk Space Handling in MailMarshal SMTP 6.3 and above
  • Q14199: False triggering of Low Disk Space check in MailMarshal 6.4
