MailMarshal SMTP versions prior to 6.1.6 (MailMarshal 2006, released July 2006) did not provide an unpacker for ACE files, though MailMarshal did recognize the file type. This means that though ACE files could be blocked, MailMarshal SMTP could not inspect their contents.

Resolution:

Upgrade to the current version of Trustwave MailMarshal (SEG). Version 6.1.6 or above includes ACE unpacking support.
