PRB: Firewall Suite report dates are showing the year 1996.

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite 4.X

Symptoms:

  • Firewall Suite report dates are showing the year 1996.

Causes:

The sample log files that ship with Firewall Suite products are from 1996.  If you run a sample report and it is showing the report as being from the year 1996, this is intentional.

Once the trial period expires on your Firewall Suite product, the program will not run any log files after 1996.  Therefore, because our sample log file is from 1996, the sample profiles will continue to run.

However, if you have a full version of Firewall Suite and the year in your reports is displaying as 1996, it means that your log files do not contain date information.

For example, in Firewall Suite if no year information is found in the log files then all reports will default to any year that has successfully run, which will usually be 1996 because of the sample profiles.
