PRB: Setup Failed error while installing Security Reporting Center

This article applies to:

  • Security Reporting Center 2.1
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Symptoms:

  • Setup Failed error while installing Security Reporting Center.
  • Installation of Security Reporting Center fails.

Causes:

You attempted to install Security Reporting Center on a computer running Windows Terminal Server.

Information:

Security Reporting Center will not work where Terminal Server is installed.

To resolve this issue, do not install Security Reporting Center on the following:

  • Windows 2003 with Terminal Server
  • Windows 2000 server with Terminal Services configured in Application server mode

Note: Do not use any special characters while entering the username or password information during the Security Reporting Center installation process.
