PRB: Report images appear blurry when accessed through Terminal Server.

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Firewall Suite 4.X
  • Windows 2000 Terminal Services

Symptoms:

  • Report images appear blurry when accessed through Terminal Server.

Causes:

When using Terminal Services to generate reports on a remote computer, the PNG graphs have a blurry display. WebTrends products require a color palette of at least 16 bit color for proper resolution of the graphics. However, Windows 2000 Terminal Services is limited to 256 colors.

Resolution:

Upgrading to Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services allows higher color and resolution through remote connections.
