HOWTO: How is a full product and support subscription for Firewall Suite installed?

How is a full product and support subscription installed?

Procedure:

How to install the Full Product

The executable file that ships on the CD is called setup.exe. If a download code for the full product is received, the executable file name will vary from application to application. Double-click the relevant executable to start the installation. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

How to Re-Install a Full Product

When a full product is installed a second time (on the same or different computer), the user is prompted to register. If registration is attempted, he or she will be denied that opportunity. The error message that results reads, "the product has already been registered". If this happens, contact Trustwave Technical Support for assistance.

In the meantime, the product is fully functional. Simply press "Cancel" when prompted to register, and press "Yes" when asked if you are sure.

How to Install a Support Subscription

The Support subscription is an additional purchase to the full product.

Once purchased a serial number will be received specifically for the Support subscription. This serial number is in addition to Full product serial number. This number may be entered be accessing the following screen:

Once installed the Support subscription expiration date will reflect in the following screen (the subscription is valid for one year):

How to Install an Upgrade

If a one year Support subscription has been purchased, the user may upgrade to the latest version of that product at no additional charge.

Without a valid Support subscription, the user will be prompted to purchase such a subscription upon install. To confirm the installation of the Support subscription, access the Help>About screen and locate the subscription expiration date. If the user knows that he or she has purchased a Support subscription but does not find this expiration date, make sure that the serial number has been entered prior to the upgrade.

  • Complete a back-up of the current installation. Do not skip this step.
  • Confirm the installation of the Support subscription as mentioned above.
  • Download the upgraded version from the following web page:

  • Run the downloaded file. Firewall Suite will automatically detect the Support subscription. The user will also be prompted to migrate existing profiles.
  • Once the Installation Wizard has completed the upgraded version will be ready to use.


How to Install a Trial

  • This product is no longer supported. Trials are no longer available.
