HOWTO: How do I specify the e-mail address where DeadLetter notifications are sent?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • Trustwave MailMarshal (SEG)
  • Trustwave ECM/MailMarshal Exchange 7.X

Question:

How do I specify the e-mail address where DeadLetter notifications are sent?

Procedure:

DeadLetter notifications are automatically delivered to the e-mail address specified in the 'Recipient Address for administrative notifications' field. You can find this field on the Array Properties | Notifications window.

If you want to change the address or other header information:

  1. Create a new template with the desired details (you cannot modify the default DeadLetter template).
  2. Once the new template is created, open the Templates window in MailMarshal Properties (Advanced System Properties | Templates - the location differs slightly depending on product version).
  3. Select your new template in the 'Dead Letter (Engine)' or 'Dead Letter (Sender)' field.

For more assistance, see Help or the User Guide for the specific product version.
