Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • WebMarshal 3.X and above

Question:

How do I import a list of URLs into a WebMarshal URL category?

Procedure:

You can import URLs into a WebMarshal URL Category from a text file. The file must include one URL per line. For details of acceptable URL entries, see the WebMarshal User Guide or Help.

  1. Open the WebMarshal Console.
  2. Expand Console Root | Policy Elements | URL Categories.
  3. Right-click the category where you want to import the URLS, and select All Tasks | Import file from... (6.x: select Import URLs)
  4. The "Import URL Category" window will appear. Select the text file with the URL list to import.
  5. You will have the option to replace or preserve the existing contents of the category.

Note:

In WebMarshal 3.7 and above, you can use the FileFilter facility to schedule daily import of URLs from a file. For more information, see the WebMarshal User Guide.
