HOWTO: How do I determine the Check Point Firewall-1 build number?

Question:

How do I determine the Check Point Firewall-1 build number?

Procedure:

To determine the build number of Firewall-1, run the following command from the /bin directory of the Check Point installation:

    fw ver

Furthermore, to determine the service pack level of Firewall-1, first determine the build number (see above), then access the Check Point knowledge base with the link below:

To determine which builds and service pack levels are compatible with Firewall Suite or Security Reporting Center please review the documentation provided in the Configuration Guide which is available in PDF format:
