Question:

How do I customize the initial 220 response greeting string that MailMarshal returns to a sender?

Procedure:

You can change both the Greeting String and Received field information from the advanced Receiver properties in the MailMarshal Configurator or Management Console.

10.0 and above:

  1. In the Management Console, click System Configuration
  2. Expand Receiver Properties | Advanced.
    • Click Help for additional information regarding the options that are on the tab.

8.X:

  1. In the Configurator, click Tools | MailMarshal SEG Properties 
  2. Expand Receiver Properties | Advanced.
    • Click Help for additional information regarding the options that are on the tab.

    Notes:

    Example Greeting string: 220 MailMarshalSEG.Company.com ESMTP MailMarshal SEG Ready
