Symptoms:

  • Error: "Setup Failed"
  • Installation fails.

Causes:

Microsoft Terminal Server is installed.

Information:

Security Reporting Center cannot be installed on the computer if Microsoft Terminal Server is installed.  In order to install Security Reporting Center you will need to do one of the following:

  • Uninstall Terminal Server then install Security Reporting Center.
  • Install Security Reporting Center on a different computer that is not running Terminal Server.

In order to uninstall Terminal Server please follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
  2. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
  3. In the component list uncheck Terminal Server.
  4. Click Next and follow the instructions provided in the wizard.

After you've uninstalled Terminal Server you should then be able to install Security Reporting Center.
