PRB: Do I need a new license if I change the local domain type from Relay to POP3?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)

Question:

Do I need a new license if I change the local domain type from Relay to POP3?

Reply:

No, a new license key will not be needed if you only change the local domain type.

SID based keys do not relate to email domains. With a Local Domains key, the only changes that can invalidate it are:

  • Adding a new domain.
  • Removing a domain.
  • Altering the spelling of an existing domain in any way, including altering your wildcard usage.
