Marshal Reporting Console supports reporting on data logged by the following product versions:

Hardware and Software Requirements

The following are hardware and software prerequisites for the Marshal Reporting Console installation.

Category
Requirements
Processor
3GHz
Disk Space
Free disk space to support databases. 10GB free recommended. If installing standalone, SQL Express requires a minimum of 600 MB of free disk space for installation (in addition to database storage space)
Memory
2GB
Supported Operating System
  • Windows Server 2008, 32 or 64 bit versions (installed as a 32 bit application)
  • Windows Vista with Service Pack 1, 32 or 64 bit versions (installed as a 32 bit application)
  • Windows Server Standard or Enterprise 2003 with Service Pack 1 or above (32 bit versions)
  • Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 or above (32 bit versions)
Network Access
  • TCP/IP protocol
  • Domain structure
  • External DNS name resolution - DNS MX record to allow MailMarshal SMTP Server to receive inbound email
Software
  • SQL Server 2005 with SP2, SQL Server 2005 Express Advanced Edition with SP2, SQL Server 2008, or SQL Server 2008 Express Advanced Edition
    • Mixed Mode authentication enabled.
  • Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.1 or above
  • .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

Note: The MailMarshal Reporting Console installer also installs the Microsoft Report Viewer.

Supported Browsers
(for client workstations)
  • Internet Explorer 6 or above

Note: The MRC website will not work correctly if Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled on the computer you are browsing from (Windows Server operating systems). IEESC blocks active content such as the ASP.NET code used by MRC. This behavior is by design. Adding the MRC site to “safe sites” may not resolve all issues created by IEESC.

  • Firefox 2.0.0.12 or above (earlier releases of Firefox 2.0 do not correctly implement some report viewer navigation).

Note: Report Viewer toolbar functionality in Firefox is limited to page navigation and export. Internet Explorer supports additional functions such as zoom and a group tree. For full details see Help.

Installation
