A library category uses search engine keywords to block a user's search on topics containing keywords included in its list.

NOTE: If the feature for search engine keyword filtering is not enabled in the filtering profile, search engine keywords can be added in the Search Engine Keywords window but search engine keyword filtering will not be effective for the end user.

WARNING: Use extreme caution when setting up search engine keywords in the Search Engine Keywords window for filtering. If a non-offending keyword contains the same consecutive characters as a keyword set up to be blocked, users will be denied the ability to perform a search using keywords that are not even in blocked categories. For example, if all searches on “gin” are set up to be blocked, users will not be able to run a search on a topic such as “cotton gin”.
